Treat it as one channel, not the only one. Not every customer has a phone or signal, and the FSA's best practice pairs written information with a conversation. Keep the printed matrix at the counter and train staff to ask about allergies.
You update the matrix and publish a new version, signed off by name. The QR menu switches to it at once: the code on the tables never changes.
The page stops showing allergen information and tells customers to ask a member of staff. An allergen menu nobody maintains is worse than none.
