£12 a month keeps your allergen information right
The matrix builder is free and stays free. Pro is for kitchens whose menu changes: every version dated and signed off, a QR allergen menu that always shows the latest one, and Natasha's Law labels printed from the same ingredients.
- Your matrix saved, on any device, with the one you built for free imported on day one
- Dated versions: who checked it, when, what changed. Published versions can't be edited afterwards, and each carries a fingerprint of its content
- QR allergen menu: a page per site for your tables and counter, with an “I avoid…” filter, updated the moment you publish
- PPDS labels: allergens emphasised automatically, legal minimum text size enforced, Avery sheets and thermal rolls
- Several sites: £6 a month (£60 a year) for each extra site
£12 / month, no VAT added
£12 for the first site, £6 for each extra site. Cancel online at any time.
What stays free
- The allergen matrix builder, unlimited dishes, with the ingredient library
- Printing in A4 or A3, the PDF by download or email
- The PPDS label template, one label at a time
- Every guide on this site
Without an account your matrix lives in your browser. That is enough for a small, stable menu: print it, date it, and redo it when something changes.
VAT, in plain words
No VAT is added to the price. Allergen Matrix is supplied by KIPDEV SAS (France) to businesses only. If your business is VAT-registered in the UK you account for any VAT under the reverse charge; if it is not, there is nothing to do. Your Stripe invoice shows “Reverse charge” and the legal mentions.
That is why the order form asks for your VAT number, or another proof that you buy as a business (Companies House number, food business registration or FHRS ID, or website). HMRC guidance on the place of supply of services: VAT Notice 741A.

Questions about Pro
Why is there no VAT on the price?
Allergen Matrix is sold by KIPDEV SAS, a French company, to businesses only. For a business customer in the UK, the service is taxed where the customer is: French VAT does not apply (article 259-1° of the French General Tax Code) and we do not charge UK VAT. If your business is VAT-registered, you account for the VAT yourself under the reverse charge, which is normally reclaimed in the same return. If it is not VAT-registered, there is nothing to do. The invoice says “Reverse charge”.
Why do you ask for a VAT number or a Companies House number?
Because we can only sell without VAT to businesses, HMRC expects the seller to hold evidence that the customer is one. A UK VAT number is enough. If you are not VAT-registered, one of these will do: Companies House number, your food business registration or FHRS ID, or your business website.
Can I cancel at any time?
Yes, online from “My subscription”, in two clicks. The cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid: you keep access until then and are not charged again.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
Your public QR menu stops showing allergen information (so customers are never shown something nobody maintains) and tells them to ask a member of staff. Your matrices and versions are kept for 12 months so you can come back or ask for an export, then deleted.
How do extra sites work?
Each site has its own matrix, versions, QR menu and labels. The first site is £12 a month (£120 a year), each extra site £6 a month (£60 a year). Choose the number of sites when you subscribe; to change it later, write to us and it is adjusted pro rata by Stripe.
Is there a free trial?
The free builder is the trial: it is the same matrix, without an account. When you subscribe, the matrix you built in this browser is imported into your Pro workspace, so you don't type your menu twice.
Which label printers work?
Any printer that prints a PDF or a web page at 100 % scale: A4 sheets in the Avery L7160, L7163, L7165, L7162 and L7166 layouts (and compatibles) on an office printer, and thermal or label-roll printers such as Brother QL, Dymo LabelWriter and 4-inch Zebra-type printers, in the sizes listed on the label page.
Not sure yet? Build your matrix for free first: it is imported when you subscribe.
